Austin Weeks, 39, is a native to St. Augustine, Florida and a devoted carpenter specializing in making furniture.
The craftsman originally took to his art as a hobby as a young kid. Weeks grew up surrounded by it because of his father, St. Augustine contractor Len Weeks.
"My father is the one guy I will always take direction from," Weeks said.
Weeks and his dog Hairy have moved around a couple of times, but St. Augustine always calls them home.

Austin's main love is for nature and with that comes his unrivaled love for animals.
"Gotta keep a close on that dog, he's had his eyes on the turtle."
Weeks spends innumerable hours searching for wood. He can never have enough of it.
Weeks turned his passion into work and left his job in real estate once he realized he was financially sound doing this for a living.
"I sold a house to a lady and she asked me to make her a bunch of furniture, and from then on that's what I've been doing."
"Behind me is project 675 not completed. It's going to be a water fountain."
Weeks states that he works on a new project everyday. He likes to have a lot going on so the creative energy never stops.
Weeks explains he never wastes scraps, but turns them into something useful like this nifty picture holder, complete with the Old Town Timber logo.
